The Cahills have a clue – well, actually 39 of ‘em – and all 39 of them will be coming in the film version of the 11-book series “The 39 Clues”. The story goes that the Cahill family has connections [and as we all know, connections are important – otherwise how do you explain the Columbus/Falk connection? One guy discovers America and the other guy gets his own 1970s television detective series suspiciously named “Columbo”?], famous historical connections like Napoleon, Houdini and Tiny Tim [well two of those three, anyway] and two kids from this elite family establish an international treasure hunt, college trust fund for their kids and maybe a jar of Nutella is involved – the lawyers won’t talk yet.
“The 39 Clues” has Shawn Levy [“Night At The Museum”] set to direct and is expected to have a late 2013 or early 2014 release.
